AIP Foundation is a U.S. registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization addressing the pervasive and devastating rate of road traffic crash injuries and fatalities in developing countries through a holistic set of programs, with a particular focus on helmet use. Our pillared strategy includes helmet provision (manufacturing, selling, and supplying helmets); public awareness campaigns; school-based and targeted population campaigns; technical assistance, particularly focused on legislative advocacy and helmet standards; and research, monitoring, and evaluation. Currently, AIP Foundation has a 50-person staff with offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Bangkok, Thailand; and Chengdu, China. In addition, we also guide initiatives in Uganda and Tanzania, among others. Position Profile

The Bangkok-based Program Officer reports directly to Thailand Country Manager. The responsibilities listed below are inclusive, but not exhaustive, of the role.  It is reasonable to assume that additional tasks will be requested, as and when needed.

Responsibilities

Program

  • Coordinate all project development, planning, implementation and evaluation activities of projects
  • Ensure project activities run efficiently and effectively
  • Manage relationships with school directors and other consultants to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Ensure all program administrative requirements are completed
  • Manage budgets for allocated projects
  • Manage reporting requirements, including report writing and submission deadlines, for allocated projects
  • Assist in implementing the public awareness campaigns in Thailand
  • Assist in establishing and strengthening working relationships with national and local governments and stakeholders including parent groups, police and other social groups
  • Assist in creating and maintaining networks with appropriate celebrities & well-known personalities to help in public campaigns
  • Assist in nurturing national and local media and press networks to deliver focused campaign messages
  • Constantly save, update and share all projects data to country and central server system

 Development

  • Provide input to Development team for proposal development
  • Support fundraising activities as required
  • Attend meetings with potential donors as required

 Communication

  • Manage timely production of all required communications materials for programs, in collaboration with central communications team
  • Liaise with project sponsors to gain approval for communications materials

 Other

  • Additional tasks for may be requested as needed.

 Qualifications:

  • Thai National Only
  • University degree
  • Very good written and verbal English
  • Two year experience in a similar role
  • Ability to prioritize while managing expectations
  • Ability to work and travel independently
  • Flexible attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • A dynamic and professional individual with initiative
